Tour Guide Tuesday: Arrington Vineyard

Featuring....
This cold weather has me dreaming of a beautiful spring day complete with a picnic and a bottle of wine.  So, I present to you....Arrington Vineyard, founded by Kix Brooks (Brooks and Dunn) in 2005.  The vineyard is in Arrington, a little south of Nashville, but worth the drive!  They are open daily and offer free tastings, a covered patio, and acres of land to host a picnic.

Arrington has quite the selection of wines for all tastes, including some award winners.  From a sweet dessert raspberry to a traditional Chardonnay or Merlot, they have you covered.  The vineyard is open year round, and in the warmer months they host live music on the weekends, Music in the Vines.  You can catch up and coming artists playing to a large crowd every weekend.   Check out their website arringtonvineyards.com for a complete calendar of events.

Tips for Visiting Arrington
1. My favorite is Red Fox Red, it is typically a crowd pleaser for red wine lovers!
2. If you are hoping to see grapes on the vine, plan a trip in August.
3, Outside picnic baskets are welcome, but Simply Living Life delivers baskets complete with food, silverware, glasses and a corkscrew if you want complete catering!
4. Bring your own wine glasses and corkscrew if you want to simply purchase a bottle and enjoy it during your visit.
